PPOC-Sk Awards Banquet

This week my mom and I travelled to Humboldt Sask to attend the PPOC ( Professional Photographers of Canada) Saskatchewan Branch Annual Awards Banquet. I have been a member for just over 13 years and in that time I have managed to win three Print Show awards and was nominated once for Photographer of the Year. Well this year I doubled my awards by winning three in one night! Here are the winners. Thanks again to my fabulous models.

This image "Don't Yank My Chain" Won Best in Fashion Class The model is my awesome next door neighbor who I just found out was signed by a major modelling agency!

This image "Human Nature" Won Best in Editorial Class My sweetheart Olivia who was such a willing model to roll in the mud.

This image "Kids Fly Free" Won Best Child Portrait The two girls are actually one girl. My neice.

This image "Lucky # 7" was not lucky afterall and did not hang in the show. Can't win em all I guess!

Part of the fun of being a photographer is finding fabulous locations and doing a beautiful image, somtimes it is finding an ugly or suprising setting and doing something even more amazing. I am glad my clients trust me because I have asked people to pose in some pretty strange places and they don't know what it will look like in the end but they indulge me anyway.

I was out for a walk at the lake and spotted this area. As soon as I saw the flowers I was thinking about the shot I wanted to do with Ellie. When I showed the final image to people at the lake they asked, " Where did you find that field of flowers"

It seems when I get an idea in my head and decide to do it now there is no other time and it is going to get done even if it may not be logical. It poured for two days so even pushing the stroller in was a chore and then where I wanted to sit her was a mud pit so I just laid a blanket down.

Pat was so happy I wore his shoes.

This was from the summer and my husband has been suggesting that I share this with you. Just this week I had the great pleasure of photographing a good friend of mine who keeps things running at the radiostation.

Two of my favorite things are working on location and suprising parents when they thing their baby didn't co-operate or that nothing turned out. I like to go with the flow and even though little mister "r" was not thrilled about his photo shoot this particular evening we had a great time and I love these shots. It has been amazing to be around this family and watch them grow from doing their wedding pictures up to their beautiful six month old!

Nine Months Later.....

Such a beautiful couple and now their beautiful daughter! I love having the chance to do pregnancy/newborn sessions. I get caught up in the excitement of waiting for the new one to arrive and then I get to be one of the first people to meet the baby! How lucky am I! Let me tell you from experience I have been pregnant for 40 months in my life (that's three years and four months!) and no matter how sick I was of being pregnant and thought it would never be over eventually it is! One of the best gifts you can give to yourself and your baby is to capture these moments there are so many things you will forget.

My appologies to the blog stalkers out there, I have had a number of people ask me to put up images of our new little girl. Well she is 6 weeks old already but allow me to introduce the beautiful Ellie Rokochy. She came 12 days early and weighed 5lbs 10oz but now she is close to 10 pounds. We are all very in love with her and she is an amazing baby.

I just wanted to show you what is possible in photshop. I have clients that want to cancel sessions because their child has a scratch or pimple. We ended up in the emergency room when Ellie was two days old for Carson to get stitches!

Every year my husband Pat and I take turns planning our wedding anniversary. We were married Oct 28th, 2000 and this year was my turn to plan. The perfect opportunity presented itself as my cousin was getting married at Lake Louise. The bride and groom were employed at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in Lake Louise so that made the wedding even more special. We jumped at the chance to have one last vacation before our fifth baby arrived. Even though I wasn't due until Nov 8th I gave everyone a heart attack by heading out to do the wedding. As it turned out we returned home from Lake Louise late on Friday evening and I went into labour on Sunday night. Thank Goodness little Ellie wasn't born on the road as we only made it to the hospital by about 15 minutes and the doctor didn't even have time to get there. We are so glad little Ellie arrived safe and sound and we are so grateful to have spent one last kid free night in such a beautiful place.

This year will be a hard one for Pat to beat as Ellie arrived the day before our 8th wedding anniversary. Quite an amazing gift!

The groom was not to sure about heading out on the lake with no life jackets but he would do anything for his bride and man was it worth it. This is so amazing.

He proposed to her on the golden gate bridge. Pretty impresive rendition.

One of the bridesmaids told me that anything the Fairmont hotel puts on your plate is edible so everything you see on this cake you could eat. Pretty brave of them to leave a 9 month pregnant lady alone with a cake!

Every year I look forward to our Annual Provincial Photography Convention. This year was no exception. I have been to 11 conventions and this year my friend Shannon Brunner and I had the opportunity to speak to our fellow photographers. We had a great time.

This spot means a lot to this family. The kids have grown up going out to this spot that the call the bread rock because it looks like a loaf of bread. They stick money in the cracks for good luck!! Second Shooter

A couple of weeks ago my wonderful friend Alison Berk of Imagin Photography in Humboldt had a wedding in Saskatoon and asked me to be the second shooter. Our friend Shannon Brunner from Saskatoon came along too so together we were 18 feet of photographers. The three of us run a mentorship website for photographers called The Picture Sisters and any chance we have to get together is lots of fun!

I also had the chance this summer to go to Waskesiu with my fabulous friend Shannon Brunner and shoot a wedding with her. The best part about being the second shooter is there is a lot of freedom to capture interesting angles, more candid moments and emotions and of course my favorite all the cute little kids.

I loved the detail in this dress.

This young man is so handsome I remember taking photos of his family a few years back and telling his Dad he could be a model! We had lots of fun and even did a few shots on the trampoline. His girlfriend is graduating too and they were both fantastic to work with. They were a bit nervous when I took them into these creepy looking storage sheds but the colors go together so well!

I took photos of this beautiful girl a few years ago and have been anxiously awaiting her grad photos because she was so fun to work with. She is so photogenic and the weather was perfect.

To all the Dad's out there a very special Father's Day. Personally, I think that my hubby is the greatest Dad but I actually have the proof. I nominated Pat for the Today's Parent "Dad's We Love Contest" and what do you know out of over 500 entries they chose my Patty as one of the top five Dads in Canada! Pat and the kids are featured in the June issue of Today's Parent. My friend and fellow photographer Greg Huzsar came out from Regina for the shoot and did a great job! Thanks Greg. For Father's Day I framed the cover and the article for Pat ( thanks to my fabulous friend Alison from Imagin Photography in Humboldt!) so he can proudly display the magazine! Without you Patrick this rodeo just wouldn't be the same.

On a much sadder note Father's Day actually marks the anniversary of my own Dad's death. It has been 15 years since my Dad passed away this Sunday. It is amazing how much has happened in the past 15 years. We lost my Dad 2 days before my youngest brother's 18th birthday and a week before his grade 12 graduation. Now we are all grown adults with kids of our own (we are working on grandchild # 8). It is amazing to think of all my Dad has missed out on. So far all of you out there lucky enough to still have your Dad around count your blessings and give him an extra hug for me! I am lucky to have Pat's Dad Al as my father in law and he treats me just like a daughter!

Here is to all the fabulous Dads thanks for all you do!

The Hills Are Alive

Cypress Hills is such a gorgeous get away and with a fun, relaxed bridal couple what more could you ask for? The rain held off all day for us so we were able to do all the portraits outside. It has rained everyday since so I think we were pretty lucky!

I am off to Cypress Hills today to do a wedding for a great couple. I am excited to work with them again and the surroundings are a dream!! I had my first grad session in Swift last night. This delightful girl and her family drove in and she was a trooper we trecked to the top a hill when I spoted the top of this old truck. The family stayed down at the road and I know it is killing mom that she didn't see what we were doing. So here is a sneak peek. I will post more later because there are lots of fun ones. What a great group to work with! My fabulous hubby accomponied me to MooseJaw where I met up with my friend Carina to spend the day with a simpy gorgeous bride and groom and fabulously fun wedding party. The minister made the service so personal and lighthearted and the families were great too!

The girls were quite the attraction in the parking lot of "Nevada Nickel's" parking lot. They had so much fun being super models. Here Carina is showing them their image on the back of her camera.

The Roller Coaster...

I have been M.I.A. for the last few weeks. I think in your hardest most troubling times you find out just how lucky you are. I was given really bad news about my health and pregnancy and for the last three weeks have been struggling with the worst news of my life. After the last two days in the hospital, I have been told that it seems the information I first received was not right and that everything is fine!! We are relieved and so thankful for the good news. The people that have rallied around us have been amazing! My husband truly is the best ever and if you don't believe me check out the article in Today's Parent Magazine that was on stands today . He stood by my side the last three weeks and dropped everything to take care of me. Our families and friends have overwhelmed me with thoughts, prayers, flowers and meals!! A huge thankyou goes out to my fellow photographer and friend Carina Gartner Lamarche who stepped up to the plate and was my second shooter at my last wedding. So again everything seems fine at this point and a huge thanks to my friends and family! Now back to our regularly scheduled life! I will be posting images from the latest wedding soon..........

I enjoyed a quiet day at home today with the kids because of the blizzard I wasn't able to travel and caught up on work, housework, kids, homework and Oprah, The View and Ellen ( you know the important stuff). Today is Earth Day so the shows were all talking about going green and using products that are better for the environment and the earth. I had to wait until far enough after April Fools to announce that we are expecting our fifth child. We send out an email every year on April Fools that we are pregnant or when we actually where pregnant that we are having twins so I guess that is why no one really believed us when we announced it this weekend. My oldest son told me I am going to be like the crazy cat lady but with babies, my daughter wants a sister and my four year old hopes I am having a puppy!

Speaking of babies here is another sweet bundle of joy I had the privilege of working with. I was so lucky to photograph her Mom and Dad's wedding a few years ago. She was a dream baby and no wonder with a mom that is a nurse on maternity! Thanks for coming over I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

What a bundle of energy little Miss "E" was! I think she would make a fabulous Roughrider Cheerleader. And yes back in the day I did try out to be a roughrider cheerleader (yet another little known fact about me). Ok back to the topic at hand this sweet little girl! We managed to change into 4 different outfits! At her age that is a feat in itself. Well after 9 days in Vegas, 4 flights, 2 hotels, 12 000 fellow photographers, a way over the top trade show, so many amazing speakers I am finally back home. We had a fabulous time at WPPI! My hubby and I have never been away from the kids that long so a big shout out to the grandparents for watching the crew!! I will be posting new work soon so my appologies for not updating while I was away. My right hand girl Miss K is also gone to Paris for a school trip so I will share something from her cap and gown shoot..........Rock on!

I have recently joined an organization of photographers that provide a service to grieving parents. I had the great honor and privelge of photographing a sweet little boy named Ethan this year that was born into heaven. The strength and courage of his family gave me the ability to be there and commemerate his time here on earth.

The oraganization is called "Now I lay me down to sleep" and through photography commemorate the lives of critically ill or still born children.

Pat and I are off to Vegas in 9 days and man are we excited. I will be taking in workshops, tradeshows, speakers and training along with 10,000 other photographers from throughout the world. I know I am going to gain lots of valuable new information!

I haven't shared many images lately so I am excited to finally be able to do that. Here is little miss *A* . She came over for her 2 year old portrait session. She just couldn't be any cuter in her tutu and cowboy boots!!

This absolutely gorgeous girl was a pleasure to work with. Another Miss *A*, this one from Medicine Hat. Her mom came along for the shoot and was my fan holder we had such a great time. It was a pleasure to photograph such a beautiful young lady!

Some of our Kinsmen friends stopped in last night with a rusty old car for our driveway. It was passed on to us and for a donation to Telemiracle we also passed it along! Telemiracle is this weekend and here is another little known fact about me, I performed on Telemiracle 10 when I was in grade eight. I am not the best singer in the world but I love being on stage so I talked 4 of my talented friends into starting a singing group and there we were in Regina at the Center of the Arts at 4 am with our black legging, long pink shirts with a black belt over top and laced up granny boots to complete the look. We sang "The Rose" to which we also did sign language! They tried to kick us off the stage but we sang one more "That's What Friends are For!" . Yeah lets hear it for the 80s! My younger brother is pushing a plane to Saskatoon with the Davison Kinsmen to raise money for Telemiracle so this weekend remember to "Ring those Phones!"

The wedding contest will end soon and as I promised the last day of February I will count any new votes double. So if you know anyone who has not yet voted let them know you need their help. I am back from my cross Saskatchewan journey. The kids and I headed up to North Battleford to visit our good friends and I popped in on a couple fellow photographers to talk shop! We went through Saskatoon and visited with family and picked up our TV after it has been in the shop for six months ( I know some of you heard me on the John Gormley "Hour of Rage") Yes it is back at our house! Then off to Davidson to work with some fabulous grads. Thanks for choosing me for your cap and gown and formal portraits! I had a lot of fun with all of you. Always great to get together with the family from Davidson and this may have been the quietest cousin visit ever!

I was looking through some of my summer images and wanted to share a few with you. Summer is a great time to do family and child portraits. A lot of families are busy and gone durring the summer months which makes summer one of my slowest times other than Saturdays for weddings. Consider boooking your family portraits now for the summer. The scenery is great, people are usually looking their best with tans and toned up from all the outdoor activity! Also durring the summer I will be travelling. Yes the day to celebrate love. I am lucky to have tons of love in my life. My #1 Sweetie is my hubby Patrick. Here is an image of him from our holiday in Ottawa. I am thankful every day for him! I always tell him he is the glue that holds this family together........even though it is crazy glue!! I am off to a women's conference today where one of the speakers is a great lady from my mother in law's group the "Breast of Friends" they are a group of 10 self proclaimed mennopausal women raising money for breast cancer and boy have they ever. Sales of their first two cookbooks have reached nearly half a million when their original goal was only $3000.00. Amazing what one group can do! Their third cook book is coming out at the end of March and celebrates survivors.` Thanks to my wonderful Sister in law Shannon Rokochy for the great image of the ladies. What an adorable couple. Although I am not able to be with them on their wedding because I was already booked I asked if they would like to do an engagement session. They agreed and drove to Swift from Medicine Hat and on Superbowl Sunday none the less. I think he definitely deserves a prize for being such a good sport! (No pun intended!) It was interesting finding out a little about this couple before they came for their session. They met at a singles Valentines party two years ago so for those of you spending this Valentines day alone don't despair love could be just around the corner!! Even though it was cold they were such an easy going couple and I really enjoyed working with them. Best of luck with all your wedding preparations.

We stopped in for a coffee to warm up. As you can see I set my coffee cup on this photo.........Ahhh just kidding it is a new photoshop brush that looks like a coffee cup ring. Isn't it fun.. Can you see it in the bottom corner?

It is always a blast working with Donna from Company One Hair Design. She is such a bubbly gal and her daughter and neice made the most fabulous models. Donna is entering a hair competition and I was lucky enough to help her with her fabulous entries. I know she is going to totally rock it!

Well, it was a long week of driving kids to school and bundling up. I met this cute mama to be this summer on the golf course. I think she had just found out she was expecting but kept it a secret something I was never able to do! They braved the cold for their session and I am so glad they made it! This weekend I made the trip out to Herbert to photograph their hockey teams. I have done numerous spots teams in the past but this time I was at their Minor Hockey Day so I had a wait between teams as they played a game between the shoots. As I was sitting around waiting I remembered all the hours I spent at the Davidson rink playing Miss Mary Mack with my friends on the benches and then chasing after my brother's cute friends and I realised what a part of my childhood memories the rink was. I decided to try and capture what was happening that day the same way I cover an event like a wedding. Sometimes the whole story is in the little details!

If you are not from Saskatchewan or quite a bit of Canada you may never understand one of the things that holds a community together is the local rink!

These are some of the things people from Saskatchewan get....

Bunny hugs(that doesn't have anything to do with hockey but only people from Saskatchewan get that! I am sure there are tons of people now scratching their heads!)

That you would voluntarily get out of nice warm bed at 6 in the morning when it is 42 bellow to drive your kid to the rink for practice.

What happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.

That the smell of hockey gloves is the worst smell on the planet.

That your opposition growing up on the ice can become your best friend at University.

That a community of 1200 people can fund raise over a million dollars to build a new rink.

That the food at the rink is as big a part of the experience as the sporting event itself.

That the rink can be the heart of a community where friends and family gather, spectators pass babies from knee to knee, people share stories and everyone cheers for their home team.

That without volunteers to run the kitchen, door, 50/50 tickets, without the coaches, managers, trainers and parents who dedicate countless hours there would be no rink....... so this slide show goes out to all the volunteers. Thanks for making a difference.

Here we are already well into January? Where does the time go? I am guessing the same place as half my kids socks............. Jan a time for New Year's Resolutions and new reality TV. Well I am into both. I am back at the gym and doing a reset and 12 week body makeover. The only problem is I am going to Las Vegas for a photography convention on week 11!

A quick note to the bride to be who emailed me about Aug 2nd. Could you please send me another email. My junk email gobbled it up before I had a chance to finish reading it or to respond. Thanks a bunch.

I promise I am going to be updating my website and pictures on my blog so keep looking! I have missed quite a few sessions throughout the year and I am hoping to do look back at 2007 and choose my favorite image from each session. That could be hard!

Home for the Holidays

Season's Greetings. I hope you are all enjoying a peaceful and healthy holiday. My family made the trip to Foam Lake for Christmas and we enjoyed tons of food and many fun and games with the relatives. Then Christmas day we made our way to Davidson for a visit with my family. Yesterday my mom and I decided we had been stuck in the house with four crazy kids for too long and we went on a photographic saffari. I think sometimes we take for granted the beauty in our backyard. The trees are covered with hoar frost and they look truly spectacular.

While I am on the "Fine Art" roll here are two images I created earlier in the year. I will be adding these and other scenic images to my portfolio they are available for purchase as matted photographs, or stretched canvas. One of my favorite people is coming to Swift Current. Darci Lang will be here this weekend for the "Alive for Women" Trade show being held at the Swift Current Mall http://www.hearforyou.ca/events.
I had the pleasure of meeting Darci 10 years ago when I put a booth in her bridal show in Regina. I had the privilege of photographing her gorgeous kids a few years back. Over the years I have seen her program a number of times and her message is an amazing one. She is one of the reasons I am able to get through some of the long days of raising 4 kids and running a business. If you have a chance to get out on Saturday you should really take in one of her seminars!

Tomorrow is a big day in Saskatchewan as our very own Saskatchewan Roughriders play in the Grey Cup! I am very proud to share that my Dad Cliff Shaw and Uncle Wayne Shaw won the Grey Cup in 1966! The Shaw brothers have quite a legacy in Saskatchewan Football. They both were members of the Saskatoon Hilltops and my Dad was the captain. Dad played 5 years for the Hilltops and 6 years for the Riders. Uncle Wayne played for 13 years with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and was inducted into the hall of fame. I have circled my day and uncle in the photo bellow. Dad wore number 51 and Uncle Wayne wore 50. GO RIDERS!

Here I am on the other side of the camera for once. My trusty side kick Miss K did the honors.

After watching Grey's Anatomy last night I thought I would share 5 things about myself.
1. If there were Mad Gab Olympics I would be a gold medalist.
2. I have a secret desire to be a stand up comic.
3. I quit Brownies when I was 5 because I didn't get to be the sparkle fairy.
4. I have a teaching degree and taught special ed and industrial arts.
5. I love to wear my hubby's clothes. They are supper comfy and smell like him!

Pat and I celebrated our 7th anniversary this past weekend, we spent the evening at the Greek Nite as guests of our fabulous next door neighbors who invited us! Thanks guys. The food was fabulous and I even broke a plate or two. The past 7 years have been a whirlwind we have moved 4 times, added 3 more kids to our family and generally stayed incredibly busy and somehow through it all we still like each other. So a big thanks to my hubby for the most fabulous 7 years of my life! Love you!

Speaking of anniversaries What a pleasure it was to spend the morning with this family who was celebrating Mom and Dad's 60th Anniversary! You could see how proud they were or their family. It was nice for me to see what having four kids could turn into in the next 53 years. Especially since they have one girl and three boys just like our family! I also found out they live just one block away from us. I was very upset to hear just a couple of days after the anniversary Mom and Dad along with one of their sisters were involved in a pretty serious car accident while going on their annual anniversary drive through the countryside. I know everyone is still waiting for Dad to get out of the hospital and my thoughts are with all of you.

Thanksgiving Wedding

We had a beautiful Thanksgiving. The thing I am most grateful for is my family. My husband Patrick is my rock and definitely puts up with a whole lot of crazy Corla. My mom Vanna should receive sainthood for everything I put her through.

We were lucky to spend some awesome time with Pat's side of the family over Thanksgiving they made the long trek from Saskatoon and Foam Lake with the assistance of many DVD movies and snacks for the kids! There was lots of food, football, and even a sleepover for the kids in my studio! We managed to do it all without a TV as ours is being repaired. Everyone should give that a try it is actually quite nice to sit and visit.

Another thing I am thankful for are the many good friends we have here in town. Three of our good friends just moved to NorthBattleford and came back for a visit and I had the fun job of photographing this nut bar! Could he be serious for one minute? These are for his headshot which one do you think I should pick?

Another think I am thankful for is the work I get to do and the people I get to work with. Here are the images from the Thanksgiving wedding. They are such an adorable couple and one of the most relaxed brides I have ever seen!

I know you guys have been waiting so finally here are your images!!! This is the winner of my contest from a few weeks ago. She won a $50 portrait credit and brought over her super fabulous kids and granddaughter. Even though I couldn't talk her and her hubby into being in the pictures, I love how they turned out.

I had an inspiration for an engagement shoot that I will share soon. I had to bring along my most fabulous assistant because I had wicked neck pain (self diagnosis - west nile) . Ok so the last contest was a lot of fun and I had lots of comments about our 1990s hair. Now your challenge is to venture into your basements or attics or your Grandma's cottage and find me an ugly couch, chair or love seat. Then email me a picture and I will pick the one that I would love to use in a photo shoot. I will trade you your ugly couch/chair/love seat for a photo session worth $250. The trade must take place at my studio! Just so we are clear I get to keep your couch in exchange for portraits so make sure you ask Grandma before you steal her couch. Just so you don't wonder why my feet are in the middle of this great family. One of the lovely ladies in the family portraits above is one of the owners of the spa!

So two of our best friends just moved back to their hometown of North Battleford :( My husband Pat and I decided to throw them a going away party at the Shack. Dave and the staff at the Shack were fantastic!! Pat and Neil went golfing at the landing in the afternoon and since they were doing some guy bonding I thought I better take Megan out for some girl time and gossip! We headed down to the brand new Rejuvenate Day spa for a pedicures. What a gorgeous place! I tell you they had the kick me out the serenity room! (Please don't make me go back to my real life!) Well they had their grand opening yesterday and I know they are going to great. For all you moms out there I suggest dropping some hints to your hubbys for some serenity yourselves.

Lucky Lucky. I was so lucky to spend the day with this fabulous couple and their friends and family. The bride's grandfather is the caretaker of the sandhills so not only are the portraits beautiful they have great meaning. I was also lucky because one of my favorite people and fellow talented photographers , Shannon Brunner, from Saskatoon (NY Snaps) came to be my second shooter. We also do our Usana business together so we get to hang out a lot. We had just attended a wedding workshop and were full of ideas. It was a gorgeous day and the wind calmed down just enough while we were at the sandhills. Congratulations to the happy couple and Aloha. I hope you are enjoying your sandy honeymoon as well!

Fabulous Four

What a great family! These lucky kids have two teachers for parents. They were so much fun to work with and their van was way to clean for having two little kids! I photographed these little sweeties when he was just a baby and when she was a little flowergirl and mom was one of my models for a fundraiser. It is so fun to see their family grow.

I have left you in suspense for long enough. We do have a fifth kid but this one is just a rental. We are billeting a hockey player who plays for the Legionnaire hockey team here in town. He is from my home town and we love having him around. Another big brother is always a good thing especially when he is polite, a good student, a healthy eater and extremely helpful. We have really enjoyed having him live with us and hopefully he would say the same about living here although our baby is just getting into the terrible twos and all that screaming is a little hard on the ears. Here we are on the way to pick up Levi from football practice. In the second image you can see what I mean about the baby screaming.

These are the images I entered in the provincial print salon and all were accepted for exhibition with the wedding couple receiving a merit and a judges choice.

This family met me at the park for a fun session. A great way to talk Dad into family portraits is to encorporate something he likes. Dads all like their families and this their trucks! We had a lot of fun blocking traffic for a few shots and the kids kept us hopping. I love how this session turned out it was so natural and fun which shows in the images.

I just got home from the Saskatchewan Professional Photographer's Association Convention/AGM. What a busy week. Friday Pat and I went to Beyoncee! Wow what a show. Sat was a shoot out in the studio of my great friend Alison Berk Imagin Photography in Humboldt http://www.imaginphotography.ca/ There were 10 photographers from across Saskatchewan that participated with one model, one prop and 15 minutes. It was very fun. Sunday was the print show and my four prints that I entered made it in the show with one being a merit print. I was a finalist for Saskatchewan Professional Photographer of the Year. A print I entered also won best Editorial print. Tuesday I judged the national accreditation prints. Then on Wednesday I attended a workshop with a fabulous photographer from Toronto. Now I am back home getting ready for a wedding in the Sand Hills this Saturday. I can not wait it is going to be beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful weddings here is the last wedding I did! I knew I was going to get some fabulous images after doing their engagement portraits a few months ago. When this bridal party showed up I knew my job was going to be very easy. The bride and groom looked amazing and the bridal party was so fun.
